"The Ricoh Auto 35V is a zone focus 35mm camera with fixed lens made in Japan by Ricoh from 1961 for the domestic market. A coupled rangefinder version the Ricohmatic 35 was made for export markets. It is an evolution of the Ricoh Auto 35 model, which was fixed focus. The camera design was very original for a Japanese camera, with the shutter release lever next to the lens. The cameras feature a triggermatic winding system on the bottom of the camera that can be seen on other Ricoh model of the 50's and 60's such as the Ricoh 35.…"
