"The Praktika Super TL 1000 was made by Pentacon from 1979-86 and features stopped-down TTL match-needle metering. Different versions exist. The common one has the newly-intoduced diamond-pattern covering and shiny knobs & film-wind lever, the other has a more traditional covering and black knobs & film-wind lever. An adapter is available to use a modern A675 battery instead of a historic PX625. The battery is necessary to use the match-needle exposure setting aid which is visually controlled through the viewfinder.
