"The Pearlette (パーレット) is a Japanese folding camera taking 4×6.5cm and 3×4cm exposures on 127 film, made by Konishiroku (predecessor of Konica) from 1925 to the early postwar period. The Pearlette is historically significant as the first mass-produced Japanese camera, with a monthly production of 200 to 300 in the early period. See also the Special Pearlette and B Pearlette which have nothing in common except for the name and format."
