"The Minolta Hi-Matic G is a compact viewfinder camera. Like the other Hi-Matics it has automatic exposure. And like other 1970s Hi-Matics it has the CdS window inside the filter ring and a hot shoe for the flash. With this camera Minolta overcame the "Electro Control" system which needed two batteries. Its CdS controlled exposure program sets speed/aperture combinations from 1/30 sec./f2.8 to 1/650 sec / f14 . The focusing ring has four distance zone symbols. F-Stop and shutter speed are shown in the viewfinder."
