"The XV-5 is an SLR accepting K mount lenses marketed by Vivitar beginning in 1981. This model's characteristic 3 light-meter LEDs outside the viewfinder eyepiece and the design of its self-timer lever indicate it was manufactured by Chinon, in contrast to most of Vivitar's SLRs which were products of Cosina. Notably the flash sync speed is 1/60th second, rather than 1/125; and the top shutter speed is 1/1000 sec. Two common LR44 or SR44 batteries power the over/correct/under exposure display (which appears to the left of the viewfinder image, in the user's peripheral vision).
